I'm Anshu. I spent a decade at Shopify working across data, product, and strategy — helping people turn unclear problems into something tangible. I recently stepped back to think about what's next. While that's taking shape, I'd like to offer something I genuinely enjoy: helping people go from "I think this could be something" to a real, working thing. No charge — just good conversation and honest guidance.
How a project unfolds
Each session ends with something you can take and run with. You can stop after any one of them.
We have a conversation. You share your idea — I'll ask a few questions and mostly listen. By the end, we'll both have a sense of whether it's a good fit: whether it's something I can genuinely help with, and whether these sessions feel right for you.
We map out how to build it — what pieces are needed, how they connect, and whether it actually solves the problem. We'll brainstorm, sketch it out, and figure out what "done" looks like. We walk through the process end-to-end before writing a single line of code.
You leave with a blueprint: a clear picture of what to build and how.
We build the prototype. You write the code with me alongside. When we're done, the project is yours.

FAQ
Will I actually learn to code?
Yes, if that's what you want. We might also spend a session brainstorming, sketching ideas, or just talking about data systems and architecture.
Is this free?
Yes! I'm concerned about accessibility in tech, especially with the pace of change in the domain of artificial intelligence (AI). I also enjoy teaching and tinkering — this is my way of providing accessible education.
Do I need any experience?
No experience necessary. Come with an idea.
Where do we work?
At my office space at Galt Collective: 20 Hobson Street, Cambridge, ON N1S 2M6 — a friendly pair-programming lab with a glassboard.
Do we use AI?
Yes, we can. AI is a tool — not a replacement for creative problem-solving and critical thinking. It's excellent for prototyping.
Who owns the code?
You do — it's your choice. I'm happy to help you deploy it.
